How we verify
Tax rules change every year, and small errors cost real money. These are the rules we hold ourselves to.
- No facts from memory. A rate, slab, threshold, due date, form name or section number is published only after it has been read from an official source (the Act, Rules, a notification, circular or the authority's own site). The page links that source.
- Every page is dated. The "Last verified" badge shows when the sources were last checked. Pages older than four months show "May be out of date" automatically until re-checked.
- Status badges are honest. Verified means sources and a date exist and the build checked that. Needs review means we are not yet sure and you should treat the page as a pointer, not an answer. Draft is unfinished.
- Calculators show their working. Each tool lists its assumptions and the data table (with its source) that drives it. Yearly data lives in versioned files so old years stay reproducible.
- Corrections are public. Mistakes we find or you report are fixed and noted on the corrections page.
- The build enforces it. A page cannot be marked verified without a source and a date; the site fails to build otherwise.
